We are often asked whether the console can be added to an existing website. The honest answer is no, and that is deliberate. The console only comes with a website built by Rco. or one of our partner agencies.
The website and the console are made for each other
Every website we build is marked up so the console knows exactly what can be edited and what must stay as designed. Headings, paragraphs, lists, FAQs and blog posts are editable. The layout, the code and anything that keeps the site fast and accessible are not. That is why clients can change their words freely without ever breaking the design.
A console bolted onto someone else’s website could not make that promise. It would not know which parts were safe to change, and the first edit could undo months of careful work.
Fast, and kept fast
We do not hand a website over until it scores at least 90 on Google PageSpeed for mobile, across performance, accessibility, best practices and SEO. Building the site and the console together is how we keep it there: nothing a client does in the console can add the kind of weight that slows websites down over time.
One team responsible for everything
Because we build the website, install the console, host the site and watch it every day, there is never a question of whose problem something is. If the site slows down, the console tells us. If a client needs something bigger than a text change, they raise a ticket from inside the console and the same team picks it up.
- Design and build, to the 90+ standard
- The console, with logins for the whole team
- Hosting, monitoring, backups and support
How to get it
If you would like a website with the console, talk to us or to one of our partner agencies. Agencies can also offer it to their own clients through Rco. Partner. Read how it works, or ask for a demo to try it for yourself.
